March Guest Artist: Frank Spino


Frank Spino is Gallery 14's award winning guest artist for March. His show entitled: Realism at Home and Abroad - Watercolors by Frank Spino runs March 3 - March 27.  Meet the Artist at the Opening Reception on Thursday March 5, 5-8pm

About the Artist:   Frank study art at the Ohio University where he received a good exposure to art and art history. But his real artistic enlightenment and advancement came under the tutelage of Henry Hensche, a gifted teacher of light and color, at the Cape School of Art, Provincetown, Massachusetts. He spent the next twenty years improving those skills in the fields of graphic design and printing during the operating  of his successful sign painting company, Spino's Sign.  Upon retirement in 2014, he was now free to paint full time and pursue his art career.  Frank has achieved signature status in the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, the Southern Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society.  In addition to national shows, he has exhibited in juried and invitational international shows in Canada, China, Greece, Hungary, Italy and the Netherlands.
