A sizzling hot art event this summer! Gallery 14 is happy to present an exhibit that will feature small works by artists from near and far. Artist/Film Director-Producer Barry Shapiro is serving as the judge of the show. The exhibit, which will run from June 3 - September 10, will have four 'Meet and Greet' evenings to coincide with the First Friday Gallery Strolls: June 4, July 2, August 6 and September 3 all at 5-8pm.

About his new venture into digital painting, according to Rhett: “One day, by accident, I found the phone app that I create work with, and have been obsessed with it every since.” I try to do three or four sketches each day. I am inspired by a profound appreciation for life and gratitude for the now.” The show runs from May 4 - 28.

A LIFE IN THE SUN: Retro Acrylics by Melissa Mastrangelo. The show will run from March 30 through April 28 with a special opening showing from 5-8pm as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll. Gallery hours are: Tuesday through Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm or by appointment.

Originally from Texas, Susan moved to Florida where she began exhibiting her work and teaching art in the public schools. She also became a prominent proponent of arts education, serving on numerous boards and in arts organization administrative positions. Her paintings focus on the building of intensity and depth of color through the use of many overlapping layers of thinned paint. March 2 - 26.
