In the world of metal sculpture and mixed media art, Kevin Wilson stands out as a visionary creator, working with stainless steel, copper, brass, and aluminum to craft one-of-a-kind masterpieces. With his company, Surreal Metal Art, Kevin breathes new life into both upcycled and new materials, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation. Kevin’s love for the arts was nurtured from a young age. However, it was his aerospace background that provided him with a unique perspective and technical skills that he now applies to his artistic sculptures. Kevin infuses his distinct flair into his creations, crafting every detail and setting them apart in the art world. He finds inspiration from other modern metal artists, drawings, and paintings.

"As a metal artist, I enjoy creating metal sculptures that I envision. Each piece starts with my vision that I sometimes sketch on my weld table. The real fun begins when I grab that first piece of metal and start cutting, forming, welding, sanding and polishing until my vision comes to life and into my sculpture. I get the greatest satisfaction when I see the reactions on my viewers' faces upon seeing my sculptures for the first time. This is what drives me to constantly challenge myself on each piece and to learn new methods and skills to push my sculptures to the next level. I formed my company, Surreal Metal Art, as a way of therapy and self-expression. It relaxes me to create something beautiful from a piece of metal."

To aspiring artists, Kevin offers simple yet profound advice, “Just go for it! Don’t be
afraid to try.” His journey serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and
experimentation, reminding us all to embrace our creativity and pursue our passions
fearlessly.
